And with the 4th pick in the 2012 NFL Draft the Minnesota Vikings select MATT KALIL.
And now things start to get interesting. Minnesota traded back a spot getting a lot (as Thomas explained). Nice move.
Matt Kalil is an excellent OT from USC. His brother Ryan Kalil is the Panthers center and is one of the leagues best. This is who Minnesota wanted anyways, they just worked the system to move back, get their man and extra picks. They have a lot of holes, this being one of them. Kalil should take over the blind side and push Charlie Johnson (who played horribly last year) out to guard. This is good news for AD, still recovering, and Ponder if he is in fact the Vikings long-term quarterback.
Congratulations Matt! SC will miss you, but good luck on your professional career with the Vikings!
